new nordic fashion illustration expo Tallinn Estonia

Hello you peeps!
I hope you are soaking up the sun these days - I know I am enjoying every last ray of the sun before it turns colder and autumn moves in on us! Every season has its charm, but for now I am just in love with the warm weather we are having here in Denmark.

Now that a few months have passed since the opening of the fashion illustration expo in Tallinn, I will finally post some photos from the event. The quality of the photos are not the best, but they will give you an idea about the scene and the works exhibited there. The show runs until late September, at The Estonian Museum of Applied Art and Design, so if you are in the area you can still catch it before it closes.

I know that it is kind of hard to see but the quality of the works exhibited there is really top notch and so inspirational to look at. I am very happy that I got to see this compilation of works from such talented artists.

"Turquoise" graphite, watercolour, glitter glue, digital colouring (print), "Hands" graphite, watercolour, coloured pencils, digital colouring (print), "Bunnies" graphite, watercolour, pen, coloured pencils, marker (original size A2).

"Poetic" graphite, color pencils, watercolour and digital colouring (print), "Triangular" graphite, ink, watercolor, enamel on paper (original) both size A1.

"Prey" graphite, ink, acrylic paint, enamel, marker, colored pencils, glitter, pen on paper (original size A1)

"Somnia" graphite on paper (original size A1)

"Float" graphite, colored pencils, watercolour, marker on paper (original size A1)

"Plissé" graphite and marker on paper (original), "Float" and "Somnia"

Working in only black&white is really new to me and I loved doing these very detailed pieces. Having more actual background in the work do help "tell the story". They are different from what I usually do, but I kind of liked doing something unexpected for this expo.

I think next stop will be at the Fashion Week in Tbilisi, capitol of Georgia, in October. Here one work (print)  from each artist will be exhibited and go on auction to raise money for local charities. This is a really nice initiative, that I am glad to support.
