HAPPY NEW YEARS (late!) + project for Aritzia

First of all Happy New Year! I hope this new year that we already kicked off becomes you well. May it bring lots of nice surprises and happiness to all.I am sharing with you a little something I did for North American/ Canadian brand + magazine Aritzia. It is an illustration I did for a gift guide editorial they ran in the magazine before Christmas, referring to the items you are able to purchase in their shops or online. And the dress:

The brief, describing the Wilfred Free clothing line:

Inspired by the ease of model-off-duty looks, this season channels a street-style aesthetic that effortlessly mixes influences with a focus on the clean, sexy minimalism of the ‘90s. High-contrast marls, mesh inserts, and faux leather are important, while key proportions pair architectural cocoon-shaped tops with lean bottoms.

And this is what I came up with (sketches):

And the final outcome:

They decided that they wanted to go for a more plain background with just some splashes of color in the full figure view.

This was indeed a fun project!
